Bocuse d'Or competition

Since 1987, the Bocuse d' Or competition puts in competition 24 leaders(heads), beforehand selected worldwide during continental selections, which takes place every 2 years, at Eurexpo, near Lyon, during Sirha, the worldwide meeting of the Restoration and the Hotel business. An international jury consisted of prestigious chefs, designing/naming the winner after having seen, tasted and have noted two dishes, one of meat and one of the fish, presented by every candidate.
The honours list revealed to the general public of big chefs henceforth enterring into the history of the gastronomy, Jacky Fréon (Bocuse d' Or 1987), Michel Roth (Bocuse d' Or 1991, Régis Marcon (Bocuse d' Or 1995), Yannick Alléno (Bocuse silver 1999), François Adamski (Bocuse d' Or 2001), Serge Vieira (Bocuse d' Or 2005), Fabrice Desvignes (Bocuse d' Or 2007), Geir Skeite (on 2009) and Rasmus Kofoed (on 2011).

Within Gl events Exhibitions, the Team “Concours “competition”, part of the food industry Department, organizes the most prestigious competition of “haute cuisine” in the world: The Bocuse d' Or, founded by Paul Bocuse in 1987 and the World Pastry cup founded in 1989 by Gabriel Paillasson.
After 18 months of national and continental selections, the finals of these competitions are held in Lyon every two year, during the SIRHA. Revealing the new stars of tomorrow, these symbolic events attract thousands of supporters and benefits from world-wide media coverage.
